The beginning of the end or possibly the end of the beginning?

Today started the last first day of my Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs). This is my fourth (and final) didactic semester due to the accelerated program so this fourth IPPE block is bittersweet for it is the last one before Advanced (APPEs) start in May. (Note: I’m not sure how other pharmacy programs schedule IPPEs but ours are every other Tuesday during P1 and P2 year- 8 hours a day for 8 IPPE days a semester).
Except that I haven’t mentioned that I’m in the one nursing home completing an institutional IPPE. And for those who know me know that geriatrics isn’t my thing. But I was given advice from someone that it’s better to do a rotation in something you don’t like or don’t know as well to learn more about it and possibly appreciate if you hadn’t before.
Here goes nothing!
